Maintenance Electrician

About the role

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for both scheduled and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of manufacturing equipment, improvements on machinery and helping to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role working predominantly day shift, Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 3.30pm.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Diagnose faults and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with established procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment reliability projects
• Share ideas and recommendations to improve plant performance and productivity
• Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime

About you

• Qualified and experienced electrician
• Experience in industrial or maintenance electrical work
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when required
• Practical, systematic approach to maintenance and troubleshooting
• Strong commitment to working safely and following procedures
• Accountability, initiative, and pride in delivering quality work
• Willingness and ability to learn and grow a more technical skill set
• New Zealand residency or valid New Zealand work visa
