Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the company's retail stores, food and beverage (F&B) outlets, corporate offices, warehouses, and other facilities to ensure they are safe, functional, and operating efficiently. His primary role is to ensure the appropriate execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs, by supervising maintenance technicians and manages contractors while ensuring the compliance with safety, health, and regulatory standards. Assists the Maintenance Head and Manager in ensuring optimal output with the maintenance technicians by actual checking and verifying their workmanships and deliverables.

DOES:

• Implement and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for retail stores, F&B outlets, offices, warehouses, and other company facilities.
• Plan, prioritize, assign, and monitor maintenance work to ensure timely completion and minimal operational disruption.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate the performance of the maintenance team to ensure productivity and quality of work.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, and building systems regularly to identify maintenance requirements and potential safety hazards.
• Ensure the proper functioning of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, and other building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, equipment breakdowns, and emergency repair situations.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor the maintenance budget while implementing cost-effective maintenance solutions.
• Monitor and control the inventory of maintenance tools, equipment, spare parts, and consumable materials.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, occupational health and safety standards, food safety requirements (for F&B locations), and applicable government regulations.
• Conduct root cause analyses on recurring equipment or facility issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Recommend facility improvements, equipment upgrades, and replacement plans to improve operational efficiency and asset reliability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Retail, F&B, Warehouse, Human Resources, and other departments to address maintenance requirements and support business operations.
• Prepare and submit maintenance performance reports, including KPIs, repair status, project updates, and budget utilization, to management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 1 year of progressive experience in facilities or maintenance management.
• Experience handling multi-site operations (retail stores, F&B outlets, warehouses, and corporate offices) is preferred.
• Open for fresh graduate.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. Electrical is preferred.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATION

• Professional Engineer (PRC Licensed) is an advantage.
• COSH (Construction Occupational Safety and Health) or BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) Certification is preferred.
• NC II/III certifications in relevant technical trades (e.g., Electrical Installation & Maintenance, RAC Servicing) are an advantage.

OTHERS:

• Willing to travel and conduct site visits across company locations.
• Available to respond to emergency maintenance concerns outside regular working hours, when necessary.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an advantage.
• Possesses a valid driver's license (preferred).
