Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment and driving operational excellence? We are supporting a leading global healthcare and life sciences organization in the search for a Maintenance Engineer to join a newly commissioned manufacturing facility in Sassenheim.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and coordinating maintenance activities across a diverse range of production and utility systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support troubleshooting activities on manufacturing equipment and utility systems
• Coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities
• Prioritize maintenance work based on operational needs and equipment criticality
• Partner closely with internal stakeholders to communicate maintenance status and set priorities
• Drive root cause investigations and implement sustainable solutions
• Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage technical knowledge and maintenance documentation
• Define and optimize spare parts strategies
• Support project activities and maintenance readiness requirements
• Ensure compliance with maintenance procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
• 3-7 years of maintenance engineering experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
• Strong troubleshooting experience with industrial production equipment
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities and external vendors
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance methodologies
• Familiarity with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) tools and techniques
• Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluency in English; Dutch is advantageous
