Maintenance Engineer

Job Purpose:

Implement maintenance activities in order to meet operational targets (OEE, change over optimization, preventive maintenance).

Key Accountabilities:

• Team Supervision:

  • Cooperate with maintenance technicians in diagnosing root causes of breakdowns and stoppages.
  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching and technical guidance.

• Daily Operations:

  • Ensure proper execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Follow up on completed tasks to verify quality and completeness.

• Breakdown Management

  • Lead the troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures.
  • Minimize downtime and coordinate immediate repair actions with relevant departments.

• Equipment Monitoring:

  • Inspect and audit machine conditions regularly.
  • Typical equipment fault analysis and solution, problem shooting with CNC machines, hydraulic systems, Program Logic Controller (PLC), Numeric Control (NC) know-how and assembly tools.

• Maintenance Planning Support:

  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in preparing weekly/monthly maintenance schedules.
  • Review equipment history and suggest improvements or replacements.

• Spare Parts & Tools Control:

  • Ensure availability and proper usage of spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.
  • Coordinate with inventory staff and suppliers for restocking.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce adherence to safety procedures and use of PPE during maintenance work.
  • Report and address unsafe conditions, near-misses, and incidents.

• Documentation:

  • Ensure accurate completion of maintenance logs, inspection sheets, and repair records.
  • Update job status, findings, and actions taken.

• Improvement Projects & 5S:

  • Lead or participate in projects to improve equipment performance and reduce costs.
  • Promote 5S practices and a clean, organized maintenance workplace.

Qualification:

• Bachelor/Master degree with major in Mechanical, Electrical or Automatization Engineer
• Good knowledge electrics, pneumatic, mechanics in maintenance
• Good knowledge for PLC program, CNC machining
• Good knowledge of TPM management
• Safety awareness and knowledge on identify/eliminate machine’s safety risk
• Able to communicate in English
• At least 3-5 years of working experience in Maintenance Engineer in automotive manufacturing plant, machanical environment is preferrably.
• Possess strong sense of entrepreneurship, and leadership
• Self-driven, process oriented, and good commonsense.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and appreciated working in a team-oriented environment; as well as to deal with sensitive issues or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
• Hands-on, fast-paced, dynamic and demonstrate ability to drive whole stream of the projects
