Maintenance Engineer

This position is accountable to plan and lead a team of Technician to ensure the equipment are properly maintained and set up to support production objective and to explore into area where improvement can be made through automation or use of Jig and fixture

Main Job Responsibilities

1. Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities to ensure smooth operating of all manufacturing equipment.
2. Supervise and train a team of maintenance technician
3. Plan and coordinate with the respective personal on periodic preventive maintenance of all equipment and trouble shoot on equipment upgrading and modification.
4. Monitor and follow up to ensure equipment are properly setup and buy off before assigning to production.
5. Control monitor usage and ensue sufficient supply of sparts to prevent unnecessary machine downtime and also source for the spare parts.
6. Ensure all manufacturing equipment / measuring instruments are calibrated
7. Quality accountability

• Enforce compliance to standard operating procedures and specifications
• Verify and recapture abnormalities / defects
• Address or escalate subordinate feedback
• Execute monitor track and follow up changes / quality performance
• Communicate quality alert to Operators/Technician/quality assurance and pass information to another shift

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance & Repair – Troubleshooting and repairing lithography, etching, deposition, or CMP tools.
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance – Performing scheduled maintenance and using predictive tools to reduce downtime.
• Reading & Interpreting Technical Schematics – Ability to follow machine manuals, circuit diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
• Basic PLC & Control Systems – Understanding of PLC programming, sensors, actuators, and feedback loops.
• Electro-Mechanical & Pneumatic Systems – Knowledge of motors, actuators, vacuum systems, and pressure control.
• Cleanroom Equipment Handling – Following strict protocols to prevent contamination of wafers.
• Failure Analysis & Root Cause Investigation – Using diagnostic tools to identify and address recurring equipment failures.
