Maintenance Engineer

Crust & Crumb Ireland Ltd. is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our fast-paced food manufacturing team where your technical expertise will directly support safe, reliable and efficient food production.

This role offers the opportunity to work with bakery and production equipment, respond to technical challenges and contribute to improving reliability. You will balance planned maintenance with breakdown support, working to protect product quality, food safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repairing electrical and mechanical machinery safely and efficiently.
• Deliver reactive maintenance, repairs and practical improvements that increase reliability.
• Complete routine maintenance tasks to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.
• Work closely with departmental leaders to protect product quality and safety.
• Carry out ancillary fabrication and repair activities, including welding, cutting, grinding and wiring.
• Identify recurring issues, contribute to root-cause analysis and recommend practical solutions.
• Maintain accurate records and follow all site health, safety, hygiene and food safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Experience maintaining automated process or production equipment.
• A strong mechanical background supported by practical electrical skills.
• Excellent fault-finding and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or similar fast-paced environment as asset.
• Understanding of food safety (HACCP)
• Hands on experience of fault finding.
• Ability to effectively prioritise tasks
• A collaborative mindset and clear communication skills.

Pay: €32,375.20-€45,760.00 per year
