Maintenance Engineer

First Source Worldwide is looking for a first shift maintenance engineer to perform repairs on equipment, installations, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure building and equipment functionality and safety. Pay is based on experience. Hours 7 am-3:30 pm.

Duties:

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and PM on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems throughout the facility.
• Maintain HVAC, compressed air, and utility systems to support production uptime.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure they are operating correctly and meeting all safety standards.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and equipment manuals.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records of all work performed.
• Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns with minimal production disruption.
• Monitor and control building systems including HVAC, lighting and security.
• Keep track of spare parts and tools and maintain and organized inventory.
• Work with other team members to coordinate maintenance activities and respond to requests.
• Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data and update management data and statistics to understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.
• Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with all government laws and regulations.
• Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Coordinate and complete equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturer’s procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational.
• Train and manage maintenance associate.
• Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvements.
• Write and update SOPs as needed and then train all employees on these SOPs.
• Perform other duties and tasks as directed and needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree required
• Solid understanding of electrical systems up to 480V AC, and DC systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Previous knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and various tools.
• Time management skills, especially as it relates to handling multiple projects.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships at all levels of the organization as a team player.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently under pressure.
• Ability to manage work orders, respond to emergencies and coordinate with the operations manager
• Knowledge and understanding of the following: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Teams
