Our technical installations and automated systems need to operate reliably to keep everything moving. That’s where you come in.

QLS operates two fulfilment centres, one in Dordrecht and the other in Alblasserdam. Both sites feature high-tech production, picking and packing machines, alongside various other machines and conveyor systems that support our daily operations.

We are looking for several Medewerkers Technische Dienst / Onderhoudsmonteurs with a strong mechanical engineering background to maintain, repair and optimise our machinery and ensure our fulfilment operations continue to run efficiently.

Whether you have experience as an Onderhoudsmonteur, Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Technician or Maintenance Mechanic, this could be an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills in a modern, automated logistics environment.

You will carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical faults, repair machinery and help operators resolve minor technical issues. Your work will directly contribute to reducing downtime and keeping our fulfilment operation productive.

What will you do?

• Mechanical maintenance: Maintain, inspect and repair machines, automated systems and conveyor systems.
• Preventive maintenance: Carry out planned maintenance to identify wear, potential faults and technical problems before they cause breakdowns.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical faults, identify root causes and carry out effective repairs.
• Breakdown response: Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and minimise downtime across our fulfilment centres.
• Machine optimisation: Identify opportunities to improve machine performance, reliability and efficiency.
• Operator training: Train machine operators to recognise and resolve minor faults and carry out basic machine checks.
• External technical support: Work with suppliers and external technicians when specialist repairs or maintenance are required.
• Maintenance records: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and breakdowns.
• Continuous improvement: Work with warehouse and operational teams to keep machinery running safely and productively.

What do you bring?

• A completed technical qualification in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical maintenance or a related technical discipline.
• A strong mechanical technical background is essential.
• Experience as an Onderhoudsmonteur, Medewerker Technische Dienst, Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Technician or in a similar maintenance role.
• Practical experience with machine maintenance, mechanical repairs, fault finding and troubleshooting.
• The ability to identify mechanical problems, work methodically and resolve faults efficiently.
• A proactive, hands-on approach, with an interest in improving machine reliability and preventing breakdowns.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues.
• The confidence to share your technical knowledge and help machine operators carry out basic checks and resolve minor faults.
• Flexibility to work one of the shift patterns outlined below.

Experience in fulfilment, warehousing, logistics or automated production environments is an advantage, but it is not essential. We are particularly interested in candidates with practical mechanical maintenance experience who want to develop their skills further.

Working hours and location

We are recruiting for several positions across our fulfilment centres in Dordrecht and Alblasserdam.

The available shifts are:

• Late shift: Monday to Friday, 16:30–01:00.
• Day shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 08:00–16:30.
