Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of equipment, machinery and building systems. The successful candidate will help maintain reliable operations, minimise equipment downtime and ensure that maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

The role involves coordinating preventive maintenance, diagnosing technical problems, maintaining maintenance records and working with technicians, contractors and other departments to support operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities for equipment, machinery and relevant systems.
• Inspect equipment and facilities to identify potential faults, wear and maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Investigate recurring equipment failures and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain maintenance schedules to minimise operational disruptions.
• Coordinate repairs, servicing and equipment inspections with technicians and external contractors.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, inspection logs and technical documentation.
• Assist with spare-parts planning, inventory monitoring and procurement requests.
• Ensure maintenance work follows applicable safety procedures, technical specifications and company standards.
• Support equipment installation, testing, commissioning and upgrades where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes, reduce downtime and manage operating costs.
• Coordinate with operations and other departments to plan maintenance activities effectively.
• Assist with maintenance budgets, technical reports and equipment performance reviews.
• Carry out other relevant engineering and maintenance duties as required.

Job Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline is preferred.
• Relevant experience in engineering maintenance, equipment servicing or facilities maintenance is an advantage.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals and maintenance documentation.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to resolving technical issues.
• Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with technicians, contractors and internal teams.
• Commitment to workplace safety and established maintenance procedures.
• Willingness to attend site inspections and respond to maintenance issues according to operational requirements.
