Maintenance Engineer - Electrical

With continued growth within our business, we have an exciting opportunity for another qualified Maintenance Electrician to join our well skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance team at our Nelson Site. This role will be 8 hours a day, Monday – Friday.

As part of the Electrical Maintenance team, you will be undertaking fault-finding and implementing repairs and corrective actions on various equipment across site with exposure to PLC’s, control systems and instrumentation. You will also provide feedback on equipment defects and asset performance and assist the engineering team with improvement projects and electrical upgrades.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Trade certificate or degree in electrical, controls/automation or instrumentation.
• 5+ years’ industrial maintenance experience with industrial automation, controls, and PLCs.
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
• Process improvement skills with analytical ability and good problem-solving ability (root cause analysis, RCA, FMEA, process improvements & corrective actions).
• To be dedicated to ensuring the highest level of H&S for every job.
• Have the ability to update electrical circuit drawings to ensure accuracy after modifications.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience in the FMCG/ Food Manufacturing Industry would be ideal but not essential.

The salary for this role $85,000 - $95,000, depending on experience.
