Maintenance Engineer (Mechatronics)

Position of Maintenance Engineer (Mechatronics)

Minimum Diploma/ Degree in any field/ preferably Engineering in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or related field or equivalent.

At least 2–5 years of experience in automation, manufacturing, robotics, or industrial maintenance. PLC, industrial automation and safety certifications preferred.

Basic programming, strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving skills.

Min Training required;

Responsibilities:

·       Design and develop mechatronics automation systems integrating mechanical, electrical,  software and pneumatics systems.

·    Program, operate and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.

·       Program, maintain, and calibrate robotic arms and KUKA robots.

·    Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection moulding machines.

·       Maintain, and troubleshoot technical issues on Vision System machines and Scanner machines.

·       Operate, repair, and ensure the smooth operation of NC Cutter machines.

·    Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize production jigs to ensure peak performance and readiness.

·       Analyze equipment performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen).

·    Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.

·    Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new machinery and production lines.

·       Ensure compliance with factory safety, product quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g., DOSH/ OSHA/ IATF/ ISO).

·       Prepare maintenance schedules and execute predictive and preventive maintenance.

·       Guide and work closely with the Production Engineer/ Executive to carry out autonomous maintenance on production lines.

• Supervise technical staff and technicians to optimize workflow and ensure maintenance tasks are kept in order.
• React with high urgency on any breakdown or production downtime and undertake immediate corrective actions.
• Analyze downtime trends and statistics to improve operational standards and meet plant KPIs.
• Manage and control stocks of spare parts list and automation equipment efficiently.
• Accountable for updating, compiling, and filing of all maintenance logs and technical record.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Authority:

• Stop the machinery or equipment in the event of danger due to symptoms of electrical or mechanical failure. Allows the use of electrical installations after installation, repair and servicing of machinery or equipment. Authorizes to stop operations in the event of non-compliance methods carried out by any party especially operations involving machinery and equipment. Authorizes to certify relevant documents for maintenance and repair purposes.
