Maintenance Fitter

My client, a worldwide manufacturer, requires a maintenance fitter paying up to $52ph + super/penalties.

My client is a world-leading beverage manufacturer and requires a maintenance fitter for a temporary role with the possibility of a permanent position.

Your new role

Your role, within the maintenance team, your role will be a key role providing support and customer service across both the production and maintenance departments.

Duties will include:

• Preventative maintenance of beverage plant equipment
• Breakdown maintenance
• Preventive maintenance
• Fabrication and repair of new and old parts
• Machining of new parts and repair of old parts
• Reporting of all works using the CMMS (Maximo)
• Attend training on site and off site as required
• Attend pre-start meeting daily
• Training of apprentices as required

What you'll need to succeed

• Certificate III or IV in engineering mechanical fitting and/or turning
• Beverage or FMCG process knowledge and experience
• A solid understanding of processing and packaging in FMCG, including local and industry trends.
• High level process improvement skills (root cause analysis, FMECA, process improvements & corrective actions)
• Restricted electrical licence desirable
• Fabrication experience
• Lathe and mill experience desirable
• Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one
• Working at heights and confined space trained
• Be forward-thinking and able to work autonomously
• Team player with strong safety focus
• Critical thinking and planning
• An ability to consistently achieve results and deliver on promises
• Computer-literate

What you'll get in return

The role will pay between $48-$52ph + super/penalties and while it will be a temporary role, there is a possibility it will lead into a permanent role.
