Maintenance General Worker

Job Summary

The Maintenance General Worker is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Department in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant facilities and equipment. The role involves assisting with mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, maintaining workplace cleanliness, handling materials and spare parts, and performing general maintenance duties to support smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance team in carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance works on plant machinery and equipment.
• Support basic mechanical and electrical maintenance activities under the supervision of technicians and supervisors.
• Perform housekeeping duties to ensure machines, workshops, stores, and work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
• Handle, transport, and arrange maintenance tools, spare parts, and materials as required.
• Assist in equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Carry out general upkeep tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, painting, and minor repair works.
• Support plant shutdowns, breakdown maintenance, and improvement projects when required.
• Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Report any unsafe conditions, equipment defects, or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in maintenance, manufacturing, construction, or related fields is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is preferred.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual and outdoor work.
• Willing to work overtime, shifts, weekends, or public holidays when required.
• Positive attitude, responsible, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping standards.

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
