Maintenance Handyman

We are a fast-growing property management company overseeing a portfolio of short-term rental listings in Columbus. We are looking for a reliable, multi-skilled local Handyperson / Maintenance Technician available during our peak turnover window (11 AM to 3 PM, M–F) to handle daily repairs, supply deliveries, tech troubleshooting, and preventative upkeep.

Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work

Basic Electrical & Tech Support

• Replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, and wall sconces
• Smart lock troubleshooting, battery replacements, and re-synching keypads (Yale, Schlage, etc.)
• Wi-Fi router resets, smart TV setup, and streaming device troubleshooting
• Replacing ceiling fan components and bulb changes

Furniture Assembly & General Repairs

• Assembling, mounting, and repairing beds, tables, chairs, and sofas
• Tightening loose hardware, door handles, cabinet hinges, and towel racks
• Drywall patching, touch-up painting, and trim repair
• Hanging curtains, blinds, mirrors, and wall art securely

Plumbing, HVAC & Hot Tub Care

• Unclogging sinks, showers, toilets, and drain lines
• Draining, cleaning, refilling, and balancing chemicals for hot tubs
• Replacing HVAC air filters and resetting thermostat schedules (Nest, Honeywell)
• Fixing minor faucet leaks and running toilet flappers

Logistics & Supply Delivery

• Picking up and delivering bulk guest supplies, linens, comforters, and amenities
• Running quick errands to Home Depot, Lowe's, or local supply hubs
• Assisting with emergency guest requests or mid-stay deliveries

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in general building maintenance, residential repairs, or handyman work.
• Tools: Must own a basic set of personal hand and power tools (drill, pliers, wrenches, drywall tools, etc.).
• Transportation: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and a reliable personal vehicle capable of hauling supplies.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using a smartphone to receive daily task assignments, upload photo updates, and log completed job tickets.
• Reliability: Extremely punctual, organized, and capable of working independently under tight turnover schedules.

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
