Duties

* Carry out general repairs and maintenance work.

* Perform basic plumbing repairs, including fixing leaking taps and replacing fittings.

* Complete minor electrical maintenance tasks within the limits of their qualifications and competence.

* Carry out painting, decorating, and touch-up work.

* Assemble furniture, install shelves, and fit fixtures and fittings.

* Repair doors, locks, handles, windows, and other household or building components.

* Perform basic carpentry and joinery tasks.

* Identify maintenance issues and report any major repairs required.

* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

* Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

* Respond to maintenance requests and complete work within agreed deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications

* Previous experience in handyman, maintenance, or a similar role.

* Good practical skills and knowledge of general repairs.

* Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.

* Good problem-solving and time-management skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Good communication and customer service skills.

* Reliable, punctual, and organized.

* Relevant trade qualifications are desirable.

Working Conditions

* The role may involve lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in different environments.

* Flexibility may be required to respond to urgent maintenance requests.

Pay: £13.99-£14.00 per hour
