Hays is partnering with a respected aged care provider seeking a reliable Maintenance Officer / Handyperson to join their team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your practical maintenance skills while contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Your new role

Working Monday, Wednesday and Friday, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the facility. This hands-on role requires a proactive attitude, strong customer service skills and the ability to coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:

• General building maintenance duties
• Painting, patching and minor repair works
• Drilling, mounting and installation tasks
• Liaising with contractors and assisting with site work
• Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Ensuring the facility remains safe, functional and well-presented
• Providing a high level of customer service to residents, visitors and staff

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or handyperson roles
• Strong practical maintenance and repair skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Aged care or healthcare experience highly regarded
• Current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one
• Current Australian Driving Licence
• Up-to-date Flu Vaccination
• Ability to complete all required compliance checks prior to commencement
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
