Maintenance Head

About the role

This role involves managing comprehensive maintenance activities across mechanical projects, workshops, motorpool, and heavy equipment operations. You will oversee mechanical safety, scheduling of maintenance works, plant facilities maintenance, spare parts management, and maintenance staff guidance and training.

Key responsibilities

• Manage mechanical projects, workshops, motorpool/heavy equipment, and mechanical safety
• Schedule maintenance works and maintain plant facilities
• Manage spare parts and provide guidance and training to maintenance staff
• Manage condition-based monitoring inspections (temperature, vibration, leaks, alignments, abnormal sounds) and record data for trend analysis and reliability improvement
• Manage schedule monthly shutdown inspections (bearings, shafts, chains, alignment)
• Manage the lubrication program
• Implement and maintain Policies, Maintenance KPI, Procedures/SOPs for designing, testing, installing, and maintaining mechanical facilities
• Manage Maintenance Budgets, including creating annual budgets
• Coordinate shutdown activities, installation, and repairs
• Create detailed Work Instructions (WI) for all activities or implement existing WI

About you

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in maintenance, preferably in crushing plants or heavy industrial equipment
• Strong hands-on background in field monitoring and supervision of critical maintenance tasks
• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification
• Solid knowledge of lubrication systems, conveyors, gearboxes, crushers, boilers, and other heavy equipment
• Proficient in troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and skilled in using diagnostic tools
