Job Summary

Pattabhi Agro Foods Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Maintenance Head (Mechanical) to lead the plant maintenance function. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability, minimizing downtime, improving plant reliability, and leading a high-performing maintenance team while maintaining world-class safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete mechanical maintenance operations of the manufacturing plant.
• Ensure preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance is carried out effectively.
• Improve machine uptime and overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
• Plan and execute annual maintenance schedules and shutdown activities.
• Troubleshoot critical mechanical failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Manage utilities, compressors, boilers, conveyors, elevators, bucket systems, gearboxes, pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Implement TPM, Lean Maintenance, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) practices.
• Monitor maintenance costs and optimize spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate with Production, Projects, Procurement, Stores, and Quality departments.
• Ensure statutory compliance related to plant maintenance and engineering activities.
• Develop maintenance SOPs, checklists, and documentation.
• Lead, train, and mentor the maintenance team to improve technical competency and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce maintenance costs and improve plant efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance in continuous process industries.
• Expertise in rotating equipment, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, blowers, compressors, and utility systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems.
• Familiarity with SAP, ERP, or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
• Excellent planning, communication, and coordination skills.
