Maintenance Helper

Job Summary Our client is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support the maintenance team with general mechanical labor, light equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep. This role involves assisting with punch presses, laser machines, mills, lathes, air systems, ductwork, and other equipment as directed by supervision.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist the maintenance team with various maintenance projects and assignments.
• Support the disassembly and reassembly of machinery and equipment.
• Assist with the installation and setup of new machines.
• Perform light maintenance tasks, including cleaning, replacing lights, and general facility support.
• Assist with preventive maintenance (PMs) and basic mechanical repairs.
• Help organize and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or company management.

Qualifications And Experience

• High school diploma or GED, or 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to read and understand detailed instructions, technical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Ability to create or assist with mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and operating procedures.
• AWS welding certification is a plus.

• Ability to work collaboratively with the maintenance team and other employees.
