Maintenance Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maintenance Lead to oversee and coordinate all aspects of facilities maintenance within our organization. This dynamic role involves supervising maintenance teams, managing mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and implementing effective maintenance procedures. The Maintenance Lead will play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency, safety, and reliability across all facility systems. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance teams to ensure timely and effective repair and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and other facility systems.
• Develop, implement, and oversee preventive maintenance programs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to maximize equipment uptime.
• Troubleshoot engineering issues related to mechanical systems, electrical circuits—including high voltage and low voltage systems—and HVAC equipment using schematics, multimeters (voltmeters), ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Manage facilities maintenance projects from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to safety regulations such as OSHA standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues, perform repairs or coordinate repairs with specialized contractors as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, safety inspections, and compliance documentation in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, including OSHA regulations related to electrical systems, high voltage work, plumbing repairs, HVAC system repair, and mechanical systems repair.
• Supervise the management of facilities maintenance teams by providing leadership, training on maintenance repair procedures, managing schedules, and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on troubleshooting complex issues and implementing innovative solutions for mechanical or electrical system improvements.
• Monitor inventory levels for parts and supplies needed for routine maintenance or emergency repairs; coordinate procurement as necessary.

Skills

• Proven management experience leading facilities or maintenance teams with strong supervisory skills.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems repair—including HVAC systems—and electrical systems troubleshooting using schematics and diagnostic tools like voltmeters and ohmmeters.
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation processes.
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to electrical work, high voltage handling, plumbing system maintenance, HVAC repair, and general facilities management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes.
• Experience managing CMMS platforms for work order tracking and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Ability to read technical schematics for electrical wiring, plumbing layouts, HVAC configurations, and mechanical diagrams.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance best practices including troubleshooting engineering issues efficiently while adhering to safety procedures.
• Excellent project management skills to oversee multiple ongoing maintenance projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams while fostering a safe working environment.
