Maintenance Leader

The Maintenance Leader is responsible for ensuring all factory machines, equipment, and utilities operate safely and reliably. The role includes planning preventive maintenance, troubleshooting machine failures, supervising maintenance technicians, and developing basic troubleshooting procedures for machine operators.

The Maintenance Leader will lead the maintenance team and, drive preventive maintenance initiatives, manage budgets, and ensure full compliance with safety, legal, and ISO requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facilities equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore operations safely and promptly.
• Identify recurring failures, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain equipment, utilities, and facility assets to required safety and operating standards.
• Coordinate maintenance work with production, contractors, and suppliers.
• Manage spare-parts requirements and recommend equipment or process improvements.
• Implement permit-to-work, lockout/tagout, and other site safety procedures.
• Support maintenance planning, reliability improvement, and cost-control activities.
• Participate in internal and external audits related to maintenance records and processes.

ISO 9001 Documentation

• Create and update maintenance documents onn approved forms, procedures, and systems.
• Maintain complete and traceable records for work orders, preventive-maintenance tasks, inspections, breakdowns, and repairs.
• Record equipment condition, failure details, parts used, work performed, downtime, and return-to-service approval.
• Document nonconformities, root-cause findings, corrective actions, and follow-up checks.
• Provide maintenance records and evidence when supporting QMS audits or management reviews.

Qualifications and Experiences

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, facilities, or a related environment.
• Knowledge of equipment troubleshooting, safety practices, and maintenance planning.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 documentation and audit requirements.
