Maintenance Manager –CBSE School

We are looking for a responsible and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the school's facilities, infrastructure, maintenance activities, and day-to-day technical requirements.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of building maintenance, civil works, electrical and plumbing coordination, facility management, vendor management, and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the school campus.
• Monitor the condition of school buildings, classrooms, offices, restrooms, playgrounds, and other facilities.
• Coordinate and supervise civil maintenance and repair works.
• Handle routine maintenance requirements related to plumbing, electrical systems, painting, carpentry, masonry, and general building maintenance.
• Identify maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for school infrastructure and equipment.
• Coordinate with external contractors, technicians, suppliers, and service providers.
• Obtain quotations and coordinate maintenance-related purchases and services.
• Monitor the quality and timely completion of maintenance and repair works.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, service schedules, and expenses.
• Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, functional, and properly maintained.
• Conduct regular inspections of the campus and identify potential safety or maintenance concerns.
• Coordinate with school management for facility improvement and infrastructure requirements.
• Support emergency maintenance requirements and ensure quick resolution of critical issues.

Eligibility & Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree – Mandatory
• B.E. / B.Tech. or Diploma candidates will be highly preferred.
• Candidates with a background in Civil Engineering / Civil Diploma will be particularly preferred.
• Practical knowledge of building and facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of civil, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance works.
• Good vendor, contractor, and technician coordination skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to supervise maintenance staff and external service providers.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to independently handle day-to-day maintenance requirements of a school campus.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in school, college, educational institution, residential, commercial, construction, or facility management environments will be preferred.

Candidates with hands-on experience in civil maintenance and building infrastructure will have an added advantage.

Salary

Up to ₹25,000 per month, based on qualification, relevant experience, and interview performance.
