Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facilities, equipment, and machinery. This role leads the maintenance team, develops preventive maintenance programs, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

§  Manage operational execution activities including budget planning, training development, inventory & asset control.

§  Ensure all plant machinery operates reliably and efficiently through preventive and corrective maintenance.

§  Plan and execute Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) for machine and facilities.

§  Handle breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime and restore equipment operation.

§  Support installation, commissioning, and upgrading of production machinery and plant equipment.

§  Monitor equipment condition, identify faults, and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.

§  Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure critical components are always available.

§  Control department budgets, CAPEX projects and critical spare parts stocks level.

§  Ensure all maintenance work follows safety procedures, SOPs, and compliance standards.

§  Coordinate closely with production team to ensure smooth plant operations.

§  Able to supervise and train the subordinates for the maintenance related work.

§  Maintain proper maintenance records, reports, and equipment history documentation.

§  Have in depth knowledge on MTBF, MTTR and OEE.

§  Improve machine performance, reduce downtime, and increase Overall Equipment Effectiveness

§  Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligation: OSHA (Amendment) Act 2022

§  Assist to maintain certificated accredited systems for Safety (ISO 45001), Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO 14001), Energy Management (ISO 50001) and Compliance Management (ISO 37301).

Qualifications

ü  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related technical field

ü  Minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance

ü  Possess strong technical skills and maintenance operations management

ü  Demonstrate a strong coordination, communication, leadership and problem-solving capabilities

ü  Having knowledge in Energy Management System (EMS) and paper making industry will be an added advantage
