Maintenance Manager

Job Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Reliability Management:-

• Lead preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities for production and utility equipment.
• Ensure maximum machine availability and minimize downtime through robust maintenance planning and execution.
• Develop annual maintenance plans and shutdown schedules.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for critical equipment failures and implements corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive reliability improvement initiatives to enhance machine performance and operational efficiency.

Electrical & Automation Systems:-

• Manage maintenance of electrical systems including HT/LT panels, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, motors, drives, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical and automation-related issues.
• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of PLC-controlled production lines.
• Coordinate automation upgrades and machine modifications to improve productivity and reduce downtime.

PLC & Control Systems :-

• Hands-on knowledge of multiple PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, and Schneider.
• Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control system-related issues.
• Maintain backups and documentation of all automation programs and machine parameters.
• Support digitalization and automation projects across the plant.

Spare Parts & Inventory Management

• Develop and manage critical spare parts inventory to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
• Establish and monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
• Control inventory costs through effective planning and consumption analysis.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors for timely availability of maintenance spares and equipment.

SAP & Maintenance Systems

• Utilize SAP PM module for maintenance planning, work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate equipment history, maintenance records, and spare parts master data.
• Track maintenance KPIs and generate periodic performance reports.

Utility & Facility Management

• Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of plant utilities including compressors, DG sets, HVAC systems, chillers, electrical distribution systems, and other support infrastructure.
• Monitor utility performance and implement energy conservation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and safety requirements related to maintenance operations.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and develop a team of maintenance engineers, supervisors, technicians, and contractors.
• Drive capability building through technical training and skill enhancement programs.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure compliance with EHS standards, statutory regulations, and company policies.
• Drive TPM, Kaizen, Lean Maintenance, and Cost Optimization initiatives.
• Participate in internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of observations

Education Qualification Required

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Diploma with more than 12 years.

Key Skills and Attitude Required

Experience

• 15-18 years of experience in Maintenance & Engineering functions within FMCG, Hygiene, Packaging, Pharma, Food Processing, Consumer Goods, or other automated manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience in managing electrical maintenance, automation systems, PLC-controlled machinery, spare parts management, and SAP-based maintenance processes.
• Prior experience in leading maintenance teams and driving plant reliability initiatives.
• PLC and SAP knowledge should not be mandatory but circuit diagram along with troubleshooting must be strong.

Preferred Industry Experience

• FMCG, Hygiene Products, Diaper Manufacturing, Tissue, Packaging, Pharma, Food Processing, Electrical or any high-speed automated manufacturing environment.
