About the Opportunity

A growing private-label beverage manufacturer is opening a brand-new production facility outside Milwaukee, and is building its leadership team early.

This is a rare chance to shape a plant from the start: equipment selection, installation, the preventive maintenance programme, spares strategy and the team itself, rather than inheriting someone else's decisions. You'd be joining a lean, fast-moving organisation where the maintenance lead has real influence over how the site runs.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Leadership

• Lead maintenance and reliability across a new beverage production facility
• Recruit, develop and manage the maintenance team
• Set maintenance priorities alongside production, and keep lines running

Installation & Start-Up

• Support equipment installation, commissioning and start-up
• Work with vendors and contractors through the build phase
• Contribute to equipment selection and layout decisions

Programmes & Systems

• Build the preventive maintenance programme from scratch
• Set up the CMMS, asset register and spares strategy
• Establish maintenance procedures that meet food safety and GMP requirements

Hands-On Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot filling, packaging and processing equipment on the floor
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and controls issues
• Drive root cause analysis to reduce repeat failures

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a maintenance leadership role, ideally in food or beverage manufacturing
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
• Hands-on approach: comfortable on the floor, not just behind a desk
• Experience building or improving a preventive maintenance programme
• Someone who thrives in a lean, flexible organisation and can wear multiple hats

Preferred

• Experience with commissioning, new line installation or a greenfield site
• Familiarity with canning and bottling lines
• PLC and controls experience
• Experience working to GMP and food safety standards
