Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager – Lae, Papua New Guinea

I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join a major operation based in Lae, Papua New Guinea .

This is a senior site-based leadership role responsible for the reliability, safety and performance of production assets, utilities and engineering systems , while leading the maintenance team and supporting continuous production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Manage breakdowns, fault finding and root-cause investigations
• Plan shutdowns, servicing and major equipment overhauls
• Manage PPM systems, maintenance schedules and KPIs
• Lead trades, technicians, supervisors and contractors
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts and operational costs
• Support capital projects, installations and commissioning
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP and site safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification, diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or similar
• Around 10+ years’ maintenance and engineering experience
• Proven maintenance leadership experience
• Strong PPM, shutdown planning and corrective maintenance experience
• Experience within food manufacturing or a comparable high-volume environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capability

Experience with PLCs, SCADA, industrial refrigeration, ammonia, boilers, hydraulics, pneumatics and CMMS systems would be highly regarded.
