Maintenance Manager

We are looking for a responsible, experienced, and technically minded Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations and ensure that company facilities, equipment, machinery, and systems remain safe, reliable, and in good working condition. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning maintenance schedules, supervising maintenance personnel, coordinating repairs, controlling maintenance costs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily maintenance operations to ensure facilities and equipment operate efficiently.
• Develop and implement preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance plans.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance technicians, electricians, mechanics, and other maintenance personnel.
• Assign work orders, establish priorities, and monitor the completion of maintenance tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify equipment faults, facility defects, and potential safety hazards.
• Coordinate repairs, troubleshooting, servicing, and replacement of faulty equipment or components.
• Monitor the condition and performance of machinery, electrical systems, plumbing, air-conditioning, and other facility systems.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within the required timeframe.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, emergency repairs, and urgent maintenance requests.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, servicing schedules, equipment history, and maintenance costs.
• Monitor spare parts, tools, materials, and maintenance supplies to ensure availability.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, service providers, and relevant departments when necessary.
• Evaluate contractor performance and ensure external maintenance work meets company requirements.
• Prepare maintenance budgets and monitor expenses to control operational costs.
• Identify opportunities to reduce equipment downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Train, guide, and evaluate maintenance staff to improve technical skills and work performance.
• Ensure maintenance personnel follow company policies, work procedures, and safety requirements.
• Maintain compliance with applicable safety regulations, equipment standards, and relevant statutory inspection requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance projects, equipment installations, renovations, and facility improvements.
• Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are properly maintained and used correctly.
• Investigate recurring equipment failures and implement preventive solutions.
• Prepare regular maintenance reports and provide updates on equipment conditions, repair progress, and operational risks.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Maintenance Management, or a related field is an advantage.
• Previous experience in maintenance, engineering, facilities management, manufacturing, or technical operations is preferred.
• Experience supervising maintenance personnel or coordinating maintenance projects is an advantage.
• Good understanding of preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Good technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to prioritize maintenance tasks and manage emergency situations effectively.
• Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and maintenance standards.
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems, work orders, and technical documentation is an advantage.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or emergency call-outs when required.
• Relevant technical qualifications, certifications, or licences are an advantage where applicable.
