Maintenance Manager

Job Summary

Texan Cement Inc. is a cement terminal, with an expansion project for a new grinding plant at the Port of Brownsville. We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to organize and oversee the maintenance and repair of the plant and the terminal expedition. The role, reporting to the Plant General Manger, will also work closely with the production team, procurement and HSE to fulfill the plant availability targets of the Company.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the cold commissioning and start-up of the grinding plant.
• Develop and implement the maintenance plan and software.
• Manage the master list of spares.
• Expand the internal maintenance team to cover the plant expansion and extended shifts.
• Stablish and organize the maintenance shifts, including work planning, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Lead subcontractors supporting maintenance and/or new projects.
• Manage the predictive maintenance program and repairs, in coordination with the production department.
• Monitor the compliance with health, safety and environmental company policies and/or regulations of the maintenance department.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's / master's degree Engineering
• Experience > 5 years in maintenance, preferred in mineral/mining business.
• General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control to manage the group technicians.
• Experience leading maintenance crews 24/7.
• Advanced computer proficiency.
• Preferred: Spanish language skills.
• Preferred: complementary training in HSE.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
