About the role

Plan and establish maintenance policies, project management, and engineering systems including electrical engineering, air conditioning and ventilation, sanitation, fire prevention, refrigeration and cold rooms, as well as structure, architecture and company facilities. Manage preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM) and project management to ensure all engineering systems operate systematically and efficiently. Prepare, present cost estimates, assess expenses, manage maintenance and project budgets systematically and in line with targets. Control costs, expenses and work quality to meet objectives, plans and budgets. Prepare financial, engineering and other reports within scope of responsibility with analysis and presentation to supervisors. Oversee legal standards and requirements related to building regulations and workplace safety standards, and continuously develop work systems for efficiency. Perform other assigned duties.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, present cost estimates, assess expenses, and manage maintenance and project budgets systematically and in line with targets
• Control costs, expenses and work quality to meet objectives, plans and budgets
• Prepare financial, engineering and other reports within scope of responsibility with analysis and presentation to supervisors
• Manage teams under supervision to perform work at full efficiency, develop teams for customer service readiness, and provide advice and resolve problems collaboratively and efficiently
• Oversee legal standards and requirements related to building regulations and workplace safety standards, and continuously develop work systems for efficiency
• Perform other assigned duties

About you

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical engineering, air conditioning and ventilation, sanitation, fire prevention, refrigeration and cold rooms, structure, architecture) or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in engineering project control and/or building engineering work, and maintenance management
• Knowledge and experience in managing electrical engineering, air conditioning and ventilation, sanitation, fire prevention, refrigeration and cold rooms, structure, architecture and building maintenance work
• Skills in work presentation, work planning, budget management, cost control, team management and project management
• Leadership skills and ability to think, analyse, distinguish problems and create alternatives for decision-making
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project for report preparation, data analysis, presentation and work progress monitoring
• English language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing
• Professional licences or certifications such as workplace safety manager or electrician and air conditioning technician certifications will be given special consideration
• Ability to solve problems and handle urgent issues well
• Ability to work overtime as required
• Ability to work both on-site and off-site
• High responsibility, enthusiasm, goal-oriented and flexibility in work
• Strong coordination and collaboration skills with related departments both within and outside the organisation
