Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring the reliability and safety of buildings, equipment, machinery, and facility systems. The role involves planning preventive maintenance, managing repair activities, supervising maintenance personnel, controlling budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance activities to ensure equipment, machinery, and facilities operate efficiently.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans to minimize downtime and equipment failures.
• Supervise maintenance technicians, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training where necessary.
• Coordinate equipment repairs, inspections, servicing, installations, and maintenance projects.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and relevant technical standards.
• Monitor maintenance costs, manage budgets, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Manage spare parts inventory, maintenance tools, equipment purchases, and supplier relationships.
• Coordinate with contractors and external service providers to ensure timely and quality maintenance work.
• Conduct regular inspections, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, equipment history, inspection reports, and work orders.
• Investigate equipment breakdowns, determine root causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Prepare maintenance performance reports and recommend improvements to equipment reliability and workplace safety.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience, with supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building maintenance systems.
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
• Good leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage maintenance teams, contractors, budgets, and multiple projects.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements and maintenance procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different departments.
• Willingness to respond to urgent breakdowns and work outside normal hours when required.
