Maintenance Manager

1.     Maintains open communications with corporate engineering group in regards to all factory related projects particularly involving new equipment, modifications to major equipotent and major facility modifications.

2. Utilize all pillars of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to focus on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), with specific focus on AM and PM pillars

3.     Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.

4.     Negotiates utilities contracts, monitors usage, evaluates market conditions and recommends adjustments as appropriate. Performs function of first contact in case of utility emergencies and coordinates efforts with other personnel.

5.     Reviews project proposals or plans to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Prepares project reports for management or others.

6.     Manages regulatory compliance responsibilities, including obtaining and maintaining required permits, prepares annual documentation for submittal to regulatory agencies, assists with compliance training, stays informed of relevant changes, and informs management of issues as appropriate.

7.     Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications.

8.     Assigns work schedules to shift personnel, supervises, prioritizes, and advises plant maintenance personnel on work assigned directly or through Maintenance Supervisors.

9.     Interfaces with all Departmental Managers to ensure that plant equipment are maintained and kept in a functional and safe order.

10.     Maintains open communications with all departments in regards to work in progress or changes in schedule, particularly involving new machines installation, new projects, changeovers or critical equipment repairs.

11.  Monitors preventative maintenance and lubrication schedules to meet scheduled due dates, maintains time and maintenance records.

12.  Communicates company policies to staff and sub-contractor workers and enforces safety regulations.

13.  Addresses safety issues and sanitation issues that require immediate attention.

14.  Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

15.  Act as a site Energy Manager for Jelly Belly Candy Company Thailand plant.

16.  On call 24/7 in regards to any Plant issues or assistance needed in off hours.

Experiences that will support your success

• Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred
• 5-7 years of supervisory/managerial experience in maintenance or technical field required
• Direct maintenance experience working in CPG or food manufacturing strongly preferred
• Experience implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), with focus on AM and PM pillars required
• Must be proficient in standard computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft products
• SAP or other ERP software experience a plus
• Experience implementing continuous improvement strategies and overseeing change management
• In-depth knowledge of equipment maintenance and technology
