Maintenance Mechanic

We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Journeyman to join our team at our newly reconfigured state-of-the-art corrugated container plant. The Maintenance Journeyman is responsible to diagnose, adjust and repair corrugated equipment including corrugator, rotary diecutters,and flexo folder gluer to ensure safe and efficient operation of our production machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency machine breakdowns in a timely manner.

• Completes assigned tasks correctly and within the allotted time.

• Performs Preventive Maintenance duties on all facility equipment

• Common Troubleshooting and repair of AC / DC drives, PLC’s, electrical systems, electrical equipment, piping systems, plant machinery and plant equipment.

• Locates, diagnoses and repairs malfunctions of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, water & starch piping systems, including pumps, valves, and cylinders.

• Performs various inspections and testing on plant systems, machinery and equipment.

• Assists with plant layouts and wiring installations.

• Performs necessary procedures to maintain parts stores inventory system.

• Performs cleanup of job site prior to and after completing repairs.

• Performs general housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned by supervision

• Other duties as may be assigned.

Education and Experience

* Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in an industrial maintenance related field.

* Corrugated experience a plus.

General Skills and Expectations

• Must be able to lift 50-70 lbs. regularly.

• Must have a valid driver's license.

• Must obtain and maintain a valid forklift license.

• Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner

• Must possess a positive “can do” attitude

• Must have a sense of urgency

• Must be able to work back shifts and overtime when necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.28 - $28.51 per hour
