Key Responsibilities

• Perform major mechanical repair and maintenance work, including dismantling, repairing and reassembling machine components such as gearboxes, bearings, shafts, couplings, pumps, screws and other internal mechanical parts.
• Safely dismantle complex machine assemblies, identify damaged or worn components, and carry out necessary repairs or replacements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns, identify root causes and perform effective repairs to restore equipment operation.
• Handle seized, damaged or difficult-to-remove mechanical components using appropriate tools, equipment and repair techniques.
• Perform machine alignment, installation, modification, fabrication and improvement works to ensure equipment reliability.
• Carry out welding, gas cutting, grinding, drilling and other fabrication works required for mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and carry out major repair works with minimal supervision.
• Ensure all repair and maintenance work is carried out safely, accurately and according to the required standards.

Qualification & Experience

• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ hands-on mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• Strong experience in machinery dismantling, repair, troubleshooting and reassembly.
• Skilled in welding, gas cutting, fabrication and mechanical fitting.
• Able to read basic mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Able to use mechanical tools and measuring instruments safely.
• Experience in machine alignment, modification and heavy machinery maintenance is an advantage.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,100.00 per month
