Maintenance Operative

West Wood Club Aston Quay is one of Dublin’s leading fitness and leisure clubs, located in the heart of Dublin 2 .We are currently looking for a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Operative to join our team full-time. This is a key role in ensuring our facility is kept in top condition for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

• General building maintenance and repairs
• Responding to maintenance requests and reporting issues
• Plumbing and electrical repairs (basic level)
• Painting, decorating, and minor carpentry
• Preventative maintenance checks on equipment and systems
• Pool and spa maintenance (training can be provided)
• Maintaining heating and ventilation systems
• Ensuring health & safety standards are upheld at all times
• Keeping maintenance logs and records
• Supporting with setup and breakdown for club events or refurbishments
• Emergency maintenance as needed

Working Hours:

• 40 hours per week
• Must be flexible and available to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Rostered shifts from Monday to Sunday

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role preferred
• Strong problem-solving and practical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and time management skills
• Flexibility with working hours and duties
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or HVAC systems is a plus
• Eligible to work in Ireland
