Maintenance Person

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Person to ensure the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks across building systems and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facilities equipment, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building interior components.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
• Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal climate control within the facility.
• Carry out plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, replacing fixtures, and maintaining plumbing infrastructure.
• Utilize welding skills for metal repairs or fabrication as needed to support facility integrity.
• Maintain building interior surfaces through painting and minor carpentry work to uphold aesthetic standards.
• Read schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently.
• Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automated systems when applicable.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work performed on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
• Lead or assist with facilities maintenance projects ensuring safety standards are met or exceeded.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance with knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, and carpentry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with hand tools, schematics, electrical equipment repair, and maintenance painting.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics for troubleshooting automated systems.
• Ability to operate electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters confidently.
• Excellent communication skills in English to effectively document work orders and interact with team members or clients.
• Experience with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), building interior maintenance, facilities upkeep, plumbing system repair, and HVAC system servicing is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely.
• Leadership qualities that enable guiding junior team members or coordinating small projects are a plus.

Pay: $22.58 - $27.19 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 39.0 per week
