Maintenance Planner & Manager – South Kilkenny | Permanent

What you need to know

Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturing company based in South Kilkenny, close to Waterford City . The company is focused on delivering a reliable, high-quality supply of products to support Ireland’s construction needs and international markets.

This is a full-time, fully onsite role responsible for planning, scheduling and overseeing maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability of plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
• Coordinate maintenance work orders and monitor maintenance execution to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams.
• Manage spare parts and maintenance-related inventories.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, support safety and compliance standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of plant performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing, production or a similar industry.
• Essential experience planning and executing preventative and planned maintenance programmes .
• Experience managing maintenance contractors, budgets and spare parts inventories .
• Qualified Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Technician or equivalent trade qualification required. An Engineering Diploma or Degree is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance principles, Health & Safety legislation, plant reliability and continuous improvement . Experience in cement, quarrying, building products or industrial manufacturing is desirable.
