Where do people love what they do, and being great at what they do? At Swisslog, that’s where! Our teams are the heart of a world-leading Robotics company that’s harnessing the power of technology to shape the future of intralogistics. The result? We’re transforming performance and efficiency for customers across the globe, giving them the vital edge in their markets.

Responsibilities Make an impact As a Maintenance Planner, you play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. You ensure that maintenance activities are organized, planned, and executed efficiently, helping us reduce downtime, improve performance, and create a reliable daily working environment. You’ll collaborate closely with technicians, operations teams, and suppliers, becoming the central point that keeps everything connected. You will spend about 40–60% of your time visiting customer sites in the Netherlands, ensuring strong collaboration and supporting maintenance planning directly where it matters most.

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
  • Review inspection results and incidents to update maintenance and cleaning plans, proposing improvements where needed.
  • Plan and prioritize work orders in line with production requirements and operational priorities.
  • Coordinate team shifts together with the local team leader.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components while avoiding excess stock.
  • Identify supply chain risks and adjust stocking strategies, including annual reviews of the VMI spare parts scope.
  • Forecast spare parts usage and budget requirements throughout the contract period.
  • Maintain accurate data and work order status in the CMMS, and analyze historical performance to improve planning accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with technicians, operations teams, internal and external and suppliers to enable smooth execution of planned tasks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.

Application Requirements What you need to succeed

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • In addition, you have at least 2 years of experience in maintenance planning or coordination within an industrial or automated environment.
  • You have experience with CMMS and spare parts management systems.
  • You bring strong organizational and planning skills with a structured approach to prioritizing tasks.
  • You are knowledgeable of maintenance strategies and spare parts logistics.
  • Finally, you communicate effortlessly in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.

You will initially be employed on a one-year contract through our staffing agency, with the possibility of contract extension and a permanent position with our client. Under the legal regulations for equal treatment of temporary (or contingent) workers, you will benefit from the same employment terms and conditions as your colleagues. In addition, you will receive a competitive salary that reflects your education, experience, and skills.
