Maintenance Plumber

Core Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and Repair: Locate the source of leaks, low water pressure, and clogged drains, then fix or replace broken pipes, valves, seals, and fittings.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of water lines, sewer systems, pumps, and fire suppression or heating systems to prevent unexpected failures.
• Emergency Response: Address urgent plumbing crises such as burst pipes, major leaks, or sewage backups promptly to minimize property damage.
• Installation and Upgrades: Assemble, cut, bend, thread, and join pipes (copper, PVC, steel) and install fixtures like toilets, sinks, water heaters, and taps.
• Compliance and Blueprint Reading: Read building plans and schematics to ensure all installations meet local plumbing and safety codes.
• Documentation: Log completed work orders, track parts used, and prepare cost estimates or repair bids for management or clients.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of technical or vocational classes in plumbing.
• Licensing & Certification: Valid state, provincial, or local plumbing license (such as a Journeyman or Master Plumber license depending on seniority).
• Experience: Typically 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in residential, commercial, or institutional service and maintenance.
• Driver’s License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record for traveling to various job or facility sites.

Key Skills

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with plumbing tools, pipe-threading equipment, camera inspection tools, and blueprint interpretation.
• Problem-Solving: Strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose hidden or complex piping issues.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in tight crawl spaces, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Communication: Clear interpersonal skills to explain repairs and options to property managers, staff, or homeowners.

Pay: From Php19,630.00 per month
