Maintenance Porter

As a hotel maintenance porter, you will be assisting our maintenance team. You will perform repairs and maintenance to ensure quality and safety standards are met and maintained while also making sure our property is both visually appealing and safe. Your responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, assisting in janitorial and maintenance support, responding to guest requests, identifying and reporting preventative maintenance issues and safety concerns.

The duties of a Maintenance Porter include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Perform routine maintenance throughout the property.

• Perform minor repairs and/or replacements of room furniture, fixtures, and equipment to include television sets, light fixtures, etc.

• Visually inspect fixtures, lighting and other equipment for repairs or replacements

• Assist painting and touch-ups.

• Power washing public areas to maintain visually appealing grounds.

• Pool Maintenance as needed - checking pH levels, temperature, pumps, etc.

• Air conditioning/furnace repair and/or assistance

• Respond to guest requests as expeditiously as possible.

• Assist with security and safety of the property.

• Carry out basic grounds’ maintenance and facilities management.

• Building cleanliness including but not limited to, cobwebs, bird drippings, sweeping sidewalks and entrances, flower planters and parking lot detail.

• Assist with Event Site preparation and cleanliness for weddings, members, guests and corporate business.

• Assist with basic landscaping such as trimming, raking, blowing, weed control including use of backpack sprayer.

• Ability to assist the Golf and Grounds Depts., with other required tasks as set forth by the sales team, management, and/or outside contractors.

• Understanding the focus on priorities, guests concerns or needs, and overall upkeep of the resort.

• Ensure equipment and facilities are safe, clean and organized.

• Report any safety concerns or violation to supervisors.

• 1-3 years of maintenance or handyman experience.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.

• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work on ladders and/or lifts.

• Good communication skills.
