Maintenance Position

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Position to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, safety, and upkeep of our building systems and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for all occupants. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills across a variety of maintenance tasks, supporting the overall functionality of our facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipmental issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters.
• Experience in pool, and spa maintenance, pool chemicals and pump room.
• Experience in PVC piping and sprinkler system installation and zones.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to carry out carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, and general facilities maintenance tasks.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately and implement effective solutions.
• Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and interior building upkeep to uphold aesthetic standards.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used in accordance with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures.
• Lead or support team efforts in supervising maintenance tasks, demonstrating leadership qualities for junior staff or contractors when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities while providing excellent customer service to building occupants or tenants.

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and electrical equipment repair is highly desirable.
• Skilled in welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and plumbing system maintenance.
• Familiarity with building interior maintenance standards and facilities equipment upkeep.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is preferred to support team coordination.
• Ability to operate hand tools effectively along with specialized testing devices such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics.
• Strong communication skills in English to facilitate clear documentation and teamwork within diverse environments.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
