Maintenance Staff

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Hotel Maintenance Person to help keep the hotel, building, and surrounding property clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Remove trash and garbage from inside the hotel and from the exterior hotel premises.
• Keep outdoor areas, parking areas, walkways, and common areas clean and presentable.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs, such as fixing minor leaks, replacing faucets, unclogging drains, and making minor repairs.
• Perform basic electrical maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, replacing light fixtures when qualified, and addressing minor electrical issues.
• Perform general building maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Inspect hotel rooms and common areas for maintenance issues and report or repair problems when possible.
• Assist with painting, patching walls, replacing hardware, and other general repairs.
• Move, lift, carry, and organize supplies, furniture, equipment, and other hotel items as needed.
• Keep maintenance areas, storage rooms, and equipment organized and clean.
• Assist with setting up and moving furniture or equipment for hotel operations.
• Help maintain hotel grounds and exterior areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests from hotel management and staff in a timely manner.
• Follow all hotel safety procedures and use tools and equipment properly.
• Report major or specialized electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or structural problems to management or a qualified professional.
• Perform other general maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel, building, maintenance, or handyman experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
• Ability to safely lift and move supplies, furniture, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Must maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
