Maintenance Staff

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities by performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all occupants and visitors. Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures.
• Service HVAC systems by troubleshooting issues, replacing filters, and repairing or replacing components to ensure optimal performance.
• Carry out carpentry tasks such as repairs to building interior structures, doors, windows, or furniture.
• Perform painting tasks for maintenance painting projects to uphold building aesthetics.
• Use hand tools and electrical equipment repair techniques to address various maintenance needs efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and document all maintenance activities thoroughly.

Skills

• Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting electrical equipment repair and system upgrades.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems maintenance and repair techniques.
• Skilled in welding, carpentry, painting, and general handyman tasks.
• Competence in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and measuring devices like ohmmeters.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English with team members and other departments.
• Leadership qualities that enable supervision of maintenance activities or training new staff members when needed.
• Experience working with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) supplies to ensure timely procurement of parts and materials..
