Maintenance Staff

Overview

FULL TIME MAINTENANCE POSITION:

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs to the property and exterior of condominium homes. Responsible for assisting with the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds and equipment.

JOB STATUS: Full time

HOURS: 40 hours/week. This is a year-round job.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete all maintenance work requests as assigned.
• Inspect, diagnose and determine materials required to complete each work request.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 1-year experience in general maintenance or construction.
• A valid driver’s license is required with a good driving record.

Required Knowledge or Skills

• Must possess basic carpentry skills.
• Ability to repair and maintain building exteriors and roofs.
• Ability to clean and maintain common areas.
• Ability to perform basic grounds maintenance.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Ability to follow established company policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
• General understanding of OSHA guidelines and occupational hazards.
• Understanding and ability to follow safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights up to 25 feet.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

Job Type: Full-time
