Maintenance Staff

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical equipment, plumbing, and facilities equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Repair and maintain electrical systems using schematics, hand tools, electrical equipment repair techniques, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Perform welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general building interior maintenance to uphold facility standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems, including maintenance of plumbing infrastructure and leak detection using tools such as ohmmeters.
• Operate hand tools and electrical equipment safely to complete tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
• Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee small team activities when required.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or staff, providing excellent customer service by diagnosing issues accurately and communicating clearly about repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, schematics, work orders, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
• Lead or support supervising staff in daily operations ensuring safety standards are met across all maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with strong mechanical knowledge.
• Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting electrical equipment repair and understanding schematics.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair and building interior maintenance.
• Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair; familiar with plumbing codes and tools such as ohmmeters.
• Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively; experience with welding is a plus.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is desirable for troubleshooting automated systems.
• Strong communication skills in English for clear reporting and customer interactions.
• Leadership or supervising experience is preferred to support team coordination efforts.
• Ability to read technical schematics and technical manuals confidently.
• Valid experience with maintenance painting—including residential painting—and carpentry tasks.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
