Maintenance Stores Coordinator

Your new company
Our client is a leading Australian business operating a large-scale facility in Wemen, regional Victoria. They are looking for a practical, mechanically minded Maintenance Parts Coordinator who wants to take ownership of an important function and make a genuine impact on site.

Your new role
This is not your typical stores role. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the maintenance spare-parts area and turn it into a well-organised, efficient operation. Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of the spare-parts room and improving its overall organisation
• Setting up smarter systems for ordering, storing and replenishing parts
• Improving stock accuracy, labelling and identification of critical spares
• Sourcing mechanical and electrical components and working with suppliers
• Working closely with the maintenance team to ensure the right parts are available when needed
• Identifying opportunities to make the spare-parts function more efficient

Once everything is running smoothly, the role becomes even more hands-on. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside qualified Maintenance Fitters as a Trade Assistant, helping with breakdowns, repairs and maintenance across the plant.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience with spare parts, maintenance stores, inventory or parts coordination
• Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, heavy industrial or general engineering
• Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in machinery and equipment
• A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to get involved
• Strong organisational skills with an eye for improving systems
• Confidence dealing with suppliers, tradespeople and production teams
• Someone who enjoys taking ownership rather than simply maintaining the status quo
