At our Levin Plant, you'll join a team committed to safety, innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

The Role

We're looking for a motivated Maintenance Supervisor & Planning Coordinator to lead our maintenance team and help drive asset reliability across our busy manufacturing site.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced tradesperson or maintenance leader who enjoys balancing people leadership, maintenance planning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. You'll play a key role in ensuring our plant operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting the development of maintenance best practices

Key Responsibilities are:

  • Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the maintenance team.
  • Plan and schedule preventative maintenance and shutdown work.
  • Support plant reliability through effective maintenance planning and asset management.
  • Manage engineering stores, spare parts, and maintenance resources.
  • Investigate equipment failures and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate contractors and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Support the implementation of maintenance systems, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with new equipment installations and plant upgrades.
  • Promote a strong health, safety, and food safety culture across the site.

About You

You will bring:

  • A relevant engineering qualification.
  • Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory capability.
  • A commitment to developing others through coaching, succession planning, and building capability, with the ambition to grow into broader leadership opportunities over time.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement, with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S principles, and practical ways to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Experience in food processing or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of reliability-centred maintenance and condition monitoring practices.
  • Experience managing maintenance inventory and critical spares.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Yellow Belt certification, or a willingness to work towards this.

What’s in it for you?

  • Health insurance subsidies for you and your family
  • 5 weeks of annual leave
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Career progression and development
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
  • On-site health services
  • A supportive team environment where your ideas and expertise are valued

At Alliance Group, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with fairness, dignity, and respect. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
