Location:** Wilmington, NC

My client is seeking a hands-on maintenance leader who thrives on solving problems directly on the manufacturing floor. This role will lead a small maintenance team while personally troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, PLC, and automation-related equipment issues that directly impact production uptime.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC, and automated production equipment
• Lead and schedule a two-person maintenance team
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions
• Improve preventive maintenance programs and machine uptime
• Support facility systems, equipment installations, and capital projects
• Coordinate vendors and specialized contractors
• Maintain a safe, compliant manufacturing environment

About You

• Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting ability
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled and automated equipment
• Industrial electrical knowledge, including motors, drives, and sensors
• Comfortable leading from the floor rather than managing from an office
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and manufacturing equipment
