Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. The role focuses on maximizing equipment availability, minimizing unplanned downtime, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across the plant. The position will supervise maintenance personnel, coordinate maintenance activities with cross-functional teams, oversee contractors, and support reliability and operational excellence initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure equipment availability and production continuity.
• Prioritize maintenance activities based on production requirements, equipment criticality, safety, and business priorities.
• Monitor equipment performance, downtime, maintenance backlogs, and recurring failures.
• Drive improvements to equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
• Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and team members.
• Lead the maintenance response to equipment breakdowns, critical failures, and operational escalations.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and applicable regulations.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance work orders are completed on time and to the required standard.
• Supervise external contractors and service providers performing maintenance activities.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Projects, and other departments to resolve operational and equipment-related issues.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food, beverage, FMCG, pharmaceutical, chemical, or other process industries.
• Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in a manufacturing plant.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, maintenance execution, and reliability improvement.
• Experience working with CMMS systems, preferably SAP PM or an equivalent platform.
• Good understanding of industrial equipment, maintenance practices, and plant operations.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience coordinating maintenance activities with Production and other cross-functional teams.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
