Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and availability of production equipment and facility assets. This role works closely with Procurement and Operations teams to manage spare parts requirements, minimize equipment downtime, and ensure adherence to maintenance schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance programs for plant equipment and facilities.
• Establish and maintain maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Supervise maintenance activities and ensure timely resolution of equipment breakdowns.
• Analyse equipment failures and identify root causes to prevent recurring issues.
• Coordinate breakdown maintenance activities and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Prepare maintenance plans, work orders, and service schedules.
• Manage spare parts inventory and collaborate with the Procurement team to ensure the availability of critical components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and performance reports.
• Monitor maintenance costs and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, maintenance procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, maintenance planning, and reporting.
• Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and spare parts management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
