SUMMARY: Are you an experienced Maintenance Supervisor with a strong technical background and hands-on experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment? This opportunity is suited to a reliable, solutions-driven professional who can take ownership of plant maintenance, respond effectively to breakdowns, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting production teams to minimise downtime.

POSITION INFO: Job Description: Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance activities across plant equipment and machinery Respond to equipment breakdowns and ensure faults are resolved efficiently to minimise production downtime Conduct routine inspections to identify potential mechanical and electrical problems before failure occurs Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical faults Ensure production equipment remains reliable and operates according to required performance standards Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Work closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities around operational requirements Identify recurring equipment issues and contribute to long-term corrective solutions Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability and plant performance Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements Maintain a safe, organised, and efficient working environment Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 - 5 years' maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding capabilities Experience with preventative maintenance and machine breakdowns Sound understanding of industrial machinery and production equipment Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Ability to respond effectively to breakdowns and time-sensitive maintenance requirements Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment reliability Ability to work effectively within a production-driven environment Reliable and organised with a hands-on approach Comfortable working under pressure when dealing with equipment breakdowns and production demands Strong health and safety awareness Qualification: Trade Test qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Millwright trade N3 / N4 qualification will be advantageous Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
